Hops for Irish Ale

Can anyone recommend a good hops to use for an Irish Red Ale. I'm going after something like Sam Adams Irish Red.

Please tell me what to use and for how long.

Thanks

For my Irish Red Rye, I use

For my Irish Red Rye, I use Northern Brewer for Bittering, Cascade for flavor and aroma. The last batch I did was on Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day and I couldn't find any Cascade. I used Amarillo for flavor and Centennial for aroma. That's 1 oz. each for 5 gallons.

Good luck,

I don't know about the cascade. I find cascade gives a citrus like flavor. Does that work well in your brown ale? very curious.

Cascade in a Brown Ale

I do get a lot of compliments on my Brown and the Cascade doesn't add too much citrus. You can always add something else in its place. That's what makes homebrewing so great, you can change it to reflect your taste.
